High Heritage Coaching Sessions

High Heritage are a Peterborough charity who work to improve the lives of young people in the Black community. CELEBRATE has funded wellbeing coaching sessions, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) training and supported activity groups.

To date 12 young people have received 3 months of individual coaching sessions, and group activities have included a meal out and support to apply for the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.

CBT training has allowed volunteers to use these techniques in the coaching sessions, benefitting not just the current cohort of young people but also future participants.

The How Are You team introduced High Heritage to the team at the Great Fen – take a look at this video of their awesome trip! The children were shown around by wildlife consultants, had time to explore the open space and learn and share their own ideas about climate control and preservation.
