Fulbourn Hospital

Sometimes the best thing for someone’s mental health is a stay in hospital. On this page we are bringing together everything in the local community that comes to the Fulbourn Hospital site.

Lifecraft Mental Health Drop-In

Lifecraft is a user-led organisation for adults in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough who have experience of mental health difficulties. They offer a wide range of free mental health services to help and support members in their wellbeing and recovery at various venues across the county – find out more here. Every Monday, they run a drop-in session at Fulbourn Hospital between 13:30 and 16:00. You can join them at the Resource Centre to find out how Lifecraft can support you with your mental health. There’ll be tea, coffee, biscuits, board games, and chatting with other people who understand.

Fulbourn Hospital parkrun

Fulbourn hospital hosts just one of two national hospital parkruns! Parkrun is a free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event – open to everybody. You can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it’s up to you! It is not a race, there is no time limit and no-one finishes last. Find out more here.

The EDGE Recovery Cafe at Fulbourn

The EDGE Recovery Cafe is a social enterprise that provides a welcoming and supportive place to grab a drink or some food. They have a venue on Mill Road in Cambridge, plus they run the café at the Resource Centre on CPFT’s Fulbourn Hospital site.

Heart and Soul at Fulbourn

Heart and Soul is a community of volunteers, specialist NHS Chaplains and peer-workers who listen without judging. Many of them have had their own mental and physical health challenges and needed someone to talk to who would accept them, and now want to be there for you. The Heart and Soul Coffee Club runs every Wednesday at 3pm from the Resource Centre.

Darwin Nurseries

The team at Darwin Nurseries are able to run group sessions for staff or patients in therapeutic horticulture. These sessions can be on a wide range of things including: making hanging baskets, seed sowing, weaving dried flowers, taking plant cuttings, no-dig gardening and composting. Please see individual ward timetables for current opportunities.

RCE Wellbeing Hub

RCE Wellbeing Hub offers short bitesize courses, online and face-to-face, on a variety of topics aimed at helping us look after our own wellbeing and those around us. Volunteers are important for this work.
